Who we are

What this website does not do

It's worth saying this before anything else, because it's unusual:

• We do not collect health information. This site never asks for your Medicare number, your Social Security number, your diagnoses, your medications, or anything else about your health. If you send those things to us in an email, we'll delete them — please don't send them.
• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• We do not use advertising trackers or build a profile of you for ad targeting.
• There are no pop-up forms, no exit-intent capture, and no forced email signup to read anything on this site.

What we do collect

Information you choose to send us

If you call, text, or email us, we receive whatever you include — typically a name, a phone number, an email address, and a description of what you'd like help with. We use that only to respond to you and to provide the help you asked for.

About the contact form on this site: it does not send data to this website. It opens your own email program with a message pre-filled, and you decide whether to send it. Nothing is transmitted to or stored on this website when you use that form.

Records required by law

If you become a client, federal and state insurance rules require us to keep records of the business we do together. Those obligations are separate from this website and are described in the documents you receive when you enroll. As a licensed agent, calls involving plan sales may be recorded and retained as federal regulations require.

Cookies and your choice

This website sets no tracking cookies by default. If you click "No thanks" on the cookie notice, nothing changes about how the site works — everything stays available to you.

The one thing we do store is a single entry in your browser's local storage, which records whether you said yes or no to analytics. That entry exists only so we don't ask you again. It contains no personal information and is not sent to us.

If you click "Allow analytics" instead, we may load a privacy-respecting analytics service to see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. It does not identify you personally. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, and the cookie notice will reappear.

Third parties that load when you visit

• Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the technical information involved in serving a web page, including your IP address, as any web host does. Cloudflare's privacy policy governs that processing.
• Google Fonts provides the typefaces. Loading a font requires your browser to contact Google's servers, which receives your IP address. We do not send Google any information about you.
• Google Calendar powers the appointment booking page. When you click a scheduling link, you go to Google's site and Google's privacy policy applies to what happens there.
• YouTube may host videos embedded on this site. Video embeds are configured to use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where possible.

How we contact you

We respond to people who contact us. We do not cold-call, we do not send text messages to people who haven't asked us to, and federal Medicare marketing rules prohibit us from sending unsolicited direct messages on social media. If you receive a message claiming to be from Nick Heyse Insurance that you didn't invite, it isn't from us — please call (913) 472-2330 and tell us.

Your choices

• Ask us what we have. Call or email and we'll tell you what information we hold about you and where it came from.
• Ask us to correct it or delete it. We'll do it, except where insurance regulations require us to keep a record, or where we need it to continue serving you. If we can't delete something, we'll tell you why.
• Ask us to stop contacting you. Say so once and we'll stop, unless you're a current client and the contact is about your existing coverage.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep the information you send us to the minimum needed to help you, and we don't store it in ways that expose it to the public.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we handle information you've already given us, we'll tell you directly rather than only posting it here.
